I heard the growl and my hackles rose instantly, I didnt like whatever it was growling at Sita. But then I heard her and just stared at her curiously. I gripped her hand to let her know that my love would always be there.

She felt Adonis squeeze her hand she laughed softly and said, "Adonis, this is my baby, Nemisis. He's named after the greek god." She gently pulled his hand and put it on Nemisis' head. He won't bite as long as he knows that I like you."

"In that case, if he's your baby. Then I love him to." I petted him and said, "How you doing, big fella, you been looking after the lady?" I leaned close and whispered to him, "...I hope so, 'cause she needs some to look after her."

Sita lightly punched him, "Hey, I've been doin' just fine on my own thank you." She smirked slightly then walked on, one hand hold Adonis' and the other resting on Nemisis back.

I smirked at her and held her hand tighter. I switched hands and wrapped my other arm around her waist, tucking myself as close to her as possible.

Sita rest her head on his shoulder, and kept going deeper. Until they came to a place where they were going to have to walk behind one another, she turned to Adonis and said softly, "Shhh, the souls that could not find rest are still here and Nemisis is the only one who can see, so he has to go first. Whatever you do, don't let go of my hand." She then kissed him briefly then followed behind Nemisis, still holding tight to Adonis' hand.

Sita smirked slightly, and continued to walk through the cavern. After five or ten minutes she saw a light at the end of the tunnel and gently squeezed Adonis' hands. She could feel the souls twisting and twining around her ankles but they knew better than to pull her into the abyss.
