He had hated having to kill the woman but he had saw no other way and as she began to scratch a design on his chest he worried about what the consequenses would be if he found himself in a similar predicument.
"Please don't..." he pleaded and he felt a burning near his heart. She explained what she had meant by innocent and it was another blow that if they asked for forgiveness for what they done the curse saw them as innocent. It hinted that he would be forced to ask before killing even the most evil of any race or suffer from the curse. He thought that she was going to leave him in that state helpless and cursed but then she tilted his head and bit into his neck. New fears surfaced was she going to curse him in another way that of being unable to stand the light of the sun? She had already hindered him and now was making the bite as painfull as possible.... In his eyes her devotion to saving innocent people from harm was as full of malice as any of the people that would do them harm.
A great relief washed over him when she said that he wouldn't be turned. He collapsed in a heap when she relased him from the spell. He felt the new scar over his heart. He moved down to the other scars that made up a larger design on the whole of his chest. How had she found the one spot, a circle around his heart, that was empty.
"I beg you please remove your curse," He said as he got up. She continued walking away and he thought that she was enjoying letting him squirm the way he was. His hand went to his blade and particually pulled it out and stopped. The words of a prophet, a true prophet, one from where he called home came to his mind. 'When the design is complete your hardest task will begin.' He had hated that man he seemed to know everything but did nothing to change things even when the cost of the nothing was great. He wouldn't even tell him anything of what the task was. But it couldn't be she wasn't of his tribe the rest of the design should expell it like it was already doing with the cut she had given him.
He slid the blade fully into it's sheath and said trying to control the anger he felt toward this lady, "If not removing the curse, then answer my previous question. I have answered all of yours even if you didn't like what I had to say."
