Perhaps a drink . . .or maybe not . . .

[Toemi]

I pushed open the door to the tavern and paused to look at the crowd that had gathered there. Most of the faces, I did not recognize . . .I hadn't even seen. I sighed and walked in, leaned up against the bar and ordered my drink.
It took only moments for the bar tender to have it ready and when he was done, I flipped a silver coin witch landed on the counter and was quickly snatched up as the man gave me a nod.
Then I found my way to one of the back tables and leaned back into the shadows, trying to make the headache that had been bothering me for the past few days, go away.

Ray walked into the tavern, because he wanted to get to now the city, he knew he shouldn’t be in here, but as long as he didn’t cause trouble he should be fine. He looked around for a seat but it seemed that all the seats were filled. He then saw a table in the back that had one woman sitting there, so he walked over to the table and up to the woman.
“I’m sorry, but do you mind if I sit here?”

[Toemi]

I saw a young man approach. I didn't recall seeing his face before. But, never-the-less, he came over to the table that I had chosen and asked if I minded him at my table.
I nodded an motioned for him to sit.
"Be my guest, if you can manage to find a seat amoung all the others here." I smiled at him wryly

[ray]

“Thank you”, Ray said as he sat down in the seat. He then looked at the woman.
“My name is Ray, what might your name be if you don’t mind me asking”.

[Toemi]

I tilted my head forward in greeting then, after taking a sip of wine . . .
"My name is Toemi, Toemi Ryngard, and it is an honor to meet you Ray."
I studied him for a moment.
"If you don't mind me asking, I haven't seen your face in town before . . .what brings you to Blue Ridge, of all places?"

[ray]

Ray thought for a second, he didn’t want to tell her the reason he was here, that he was kicked out because of what he was, because of the curse he cared in him and the mark he had on his neck, he thought of what to say.
“Well, I’m just seeing the world, and my journey brought me here”. Ray knew that she wouldn’t buy it, but he couldn’t think of anything on short notice.

[Toemi]

As Ray paused in his reply, I couldn't help but hear the whispers of doubt in his mind. He had a secret, one that he didn't care to share, something . . .dark.
But, when he gave me a less then believable explanation for his arrival, I just smiled.
"I've just met you and I already know you're a terrible liar . . .but," I said, holding up a hand "It's really not my business."
I took another draw of wine. My headache was still persisting so I began rubbing my right temple. I knew all too well the cause of the ache but, a little more to drink and it should subside . . .I hoped.
"Well then, Ray, what do you think of this place?" I said motioning to the room around us.

[ray]

Ray knew that his horrible lie wouldn’t work, but he was glad he didn’t haft to explain why he was here. He then herd her ask what he thought of this place, so he looked around and then looked back at her.
“Well so far it’s not bad, but it’s something I’ll haft to get use to”.

[Toemi]

I chuckled at the young man.
"That's the truth, I haven't even gotten used to this place yet, but then again, I haven't been here long either . . ." I finished my drink and pushed the empty glass aside.
"Well, seeing as you're sitting at my table, could I offer you anything to drink?"

[ray]

Ray shook his head.
“No I’m fine, but thank you for the offer”. Ray then sat back and looked at Toemi.
“So I see you’re a vampire, to tell you the truth I’ve never seen so many vampires in my travels, but they seem to be everywhere in this city”.
